Group Therapy (Cross Street Exchange)

1270 Wishlisted
~$25/pax
Group Therapy is a collective space that is tucked away on the 2nd storey of a reconstructed shophouse in the newly gentrified Duxton enclave. Our adjunct café is an expression of our love for nourishment through coffee, food and good drink. Our beans are a tailored blend of 100% Arabica beans, which are freshly ground on premise for each and every cup. Our menu serves All-Day Breakfast items (which is our favourite meal of the day) such as Poached Eggs & Smoked Salmon on Thick Toast as well as other lunch items like Paninis, Pies & Stews. We love to shout about our dessert and unique menu of boutique beers, which boasts an amazing 4-layer carrot cake as well as the award-winning Coedo Beniaka & Delirium Tremens brews.

These were enjoyed in better times before the circuit breaker :)

Their signature pumpkin pancakes that ran out of pumpkin (no choice la hor with covid times) but still tasted really good!! Pancake (just one giant one) was thick and fragrant with enough smoked salmon, egg and Hollandaise to go along with so it was not too dry. Am not really a coffee person but the almond latte was really smooth with subtle notes of almond.

Enjoyed both! Cafe space was pretty and chill too in a quiet area of cross street exchange. Will be back in better times!

Having relocated from the Duxton neighbourhood, Group Therapy Cafe had found its new home at Cross Street Exchange — situated just right beside Big Brand Satay, Group Therapy Coffee now has both air conditioned dine-in area as well as al-fresco seating, and offers not just the all-familiar brunch items available previously, but also pizza and pasta dishes from now-defunct Strong Flour.

Really enjoyed the flourless chocolate cake for how rich and decadent it is — almost akin to that of a fudge-y brownie without being in any way dense and overwhelming; just pure chocolate heaven without the sinfulness. The Mint Cookies & Cream ice-cream made a good pairing with the cake, providing bits of crunchy cookies to chew on with a cooling and refreshing base — not my first choice of ice-cream flavour but still one that I enjoyed; a combination that works well for those who love the classic combination of mint and chocolate.

Salted caramel and earl grey !!!
Both flavours were rather distinct but I preferred the earl grey more

Waffles were quite fluffy and went really well w the ice cream !!

Good for sharing

I really loved the pumpkin pancake! It was soft and fluffy, with a natural sweetness that complemented the savoury parts of this dish well. I don’t usually go for smoked salmon bc it sometimes can get very salty but this was just nice. Eggs were poached well, hollandaise sauce wasn’t too cloying and the tobiko roe was a good addition :)

Croque madame was also good, brioche & cheese is a good combination and they did a pretty decent job with this dish.

I love love LOVED the crunchy layer of sugar over the bananas and french toast!!! The ice cream would have been enough, but there was whipped cream too! Worth it.
