Was not crowded at all when we went at 6pm, food was prepared quickly.

Salted egg fried was not overly oily like other places, generous amounts of salted fish. The spicy sand clams were delicious and fresh, packs a decent kick with a hint of sweetness.

Super fat pieces of salted egg prawns, the coat of salted egg was perfect! Loved it.

ordered a hainanese chicken rice, salted egg prawns and sambal sand clams with a bowl of porridge! generous with the sauce for the chicken rice, fragrant rice and overall good value! the salted egg prawns had a great sauce with juicy and not overcooked prawns and the sambal sand clams were flavourful with a slightly sweet sauce, and the clams tasted really fresh!

would come back again!

Amazing porridge with a large variety of dishes served here. Their sambal gui miao and their prawn paste chicken really stood out to me. The sambal gui miao uses a unique blend of spices that made me wanting for more. The prawn paste chicken was marinated well and serve piping hot, with the flavours seeping deep into the juicy meat. Highly recommend this place for gatherings and late night supper with friends to chill as the vibes was superb!

Highly recommend this zichar place for night owls and late shift employees, this restaurant closes at 2am, so it’s a good supper spot. Personal favourite is the sambal gui miao and salted egg pork ribs, the sambal has a nice kick but not overly spicy and the pork ribs was so tender!

Food was amazing here, especially loved the cereal prawn. Prawns were very fresh and the cereal was crispy and flavourful.

The Lala paired extremely well with the free-flow porridge as well. Great combination! Great place to visit for lunch, dinner and even supper!

Solid comfort food spread at Gu Zao Ren Taiwan Porridge. The oat-crusted prawns were the standout crispy, savoury topping, generous portion, seriously moreish. Sweet and spicy clams were fresh and plump in a rich tomato-ish sauce, great with rice. Rounded out with a fluffy fried egg omelette, garlicky sweet potato leaves with a bit of heat, and comforting Taiwan porridge with sweet potato chunks. The chilli sauce on the side went with everything.
