Tried different ingredients from my usual and was pleased to find that they were just as delicious as my usual choices. The shirataki noodles were the least of my favourites – cold and tasteless, but then they’re zero calorie. I mixed the furikake into them which improved their taste significantly. I remember not like the beetroot hummus when I first tried it a few years ago, but they’ve improved it, making it creamier and tastier than before. Wakame and broccoli were both very tasty, and I liked how the broccoli was tender.

Base: shirataki noodles (+$0.50)
Protein: white fish
Sides: wakame seaweed, beetroot hummus, steamed broccoli
Topping: furikake
Dressing: ginger ponzu

Spicy salmon could have been spicier and the egg was sadly not runny even thought it looked promising but it was an alright poke bowl!

Superfood afternoon with this yummy bowl
of nutbutter acai packed with roasted nuts, toasted crispy granola, almond nut butter and chiaseed pudding at the bottom. The combination of nutty goodness sweetsour acai and crunchy bits coming together in one mouthful has no words for me to describe except if food heaven exists let this be on its forever menu😋

In my humble opinion, Haakon’s cauliflower rice and scrambled eggs set it far above many other grain bowls. The cauliflower rice, which you can get at no additional charge, is well seasoned, and the scrambled eggs are so beautifully silky and smooth. The other ingredients are good too, and this was a very satisfying lunch.

Base: cauliflower rice
Main: baked salmon (+$ 2)
Sides: scrambled egg (+$0.50), charred corn, mango and tomato salsa
Topping: furikake
Dressing: ginger ponzu

Haakon is best known for its fruity acai bowls, but it turns out that its grain bowls are also delicious with lots of DIY options to choose from - and extra healthy too. The shirataki noodles, scrambled eggs, and tomato salsa are highly raved about, but you can also go for their classic bowls. Burppler Dilys Lim says, "To shake things up, I tried their mentaiko fish ($14.90) and the omu beef rice ($12.90) for a change. Both dishes did not disappoint, the beef was tender while the fish was well seasoned. Do try it the next time you're craving for some healthy goodness!"

One of the more affordable acai bowls out there 😋 (I’m comparing this with places like acai affair & project acai)

I like going to haakon for acai cuz they serve cocoa-based acai :) though I’ve tried their original acai and it’s amazing too 😚 plus they’re extremely generous with their fruits and chia pudding!

Can I also add that their cacao bliss acai bowl pretty much tastes like chocolate ice cream except without all that guilt😺
