You can dine and stay for as long as you want (there were quite a few students studying and doing projects) 😅😅 ⁣⁣

After browsing through all their menus, I decided to try their Ayam penyet ($6.80) & boy was I shocked at their portions. Super value for money mans. 😅😌 ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Ayam penyet was good! Slightly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. 👏🏻👏🏻 I also tried their Japanese gourmet coffee Hinoki & I loved the smooth texture of the coffee ☕️🤤🤤🤤. I cannot help it, I’m such a sucker for gourmet coffee. 🤪🤪🤪 ⁣⁣

I’ll def come back to visit @honestbeesg again when I’m around the area. 💕💕 #burpple ⁣

Tried
1) Moss (Ayam penyat/Nasi Lemak/Nasi Padang)
▪️Small plate $8.90
- One rice (white or coconut)
- One egg (omelete or sunny side up)
- One vegetable
- One meat/seafood
▪️Large plate $11.90 with an additional meat/seafood
We ordered the small plate and got white rice. The rice was fragrant and fluffy, not too hard or clump/mushy. We felt that the rice was probably of premium quality. The chilli was really aromatic and the belachan taste was prominent. It wasn't too spicy so those who can't take spiciness probably will enjoy it too. Though we prefer it to be more spicy (packs a punch), as we really love spicy food, we still enjoyed harmonisation of the spices in this chilli. The chicken was decently marinated and even the interior meat was well-flavoured. However, we felt that the batter was hard probably due to over-frying. The sambal okra and eggplant was not spicy but was very fragrant with all those spices. Glad that the food here wasnt overly salty.
Taste: 3.5/5
Worth it: 3.5/5
Overall: 7/10 (Definitely a decent plate of nasi padang with good quality ingredient, justifiable prices and slight above average taste)

2) Pasta la vista
You get to choose either spaghetti, linguine or penne. They have options where the ingredients are already pre-selected or you can get the plain version (aglio olio or pomodoro based) and self-customise (ie crab meat, prawn, calms, chicken, etc)
- We ordered Pomodoro which is tomato-based ($9.90) and added chicken ($3.80), rocket leaves ($2) and cherry tomatoes ($1). Total $15.70. I personally feel that the portion is quite big and they give a good amount of ingredients so it was very worth it. The taste was also above average. The tomato sauce was slightly tangy and tasted homemade rather than store-bought. Having tried the aglio olio ($8.90) version previously, I personally prefer the aglio olio version which wasnt overly oily and has a distinct garlic fragrance.
Taste: 4/5
Worth it: 4/5
Overall: 8/10

Premium price for roast duck rice but I got to say the on-point and totally not mushy jasmine white rice, shoyu onsen egg and the tender & juicy duck breast meat seal the deal.

The bread texture was okay but the purple yam filling was below expectation 😅

I’m glad this stall called Lazy Loaf is open at 10am!

The thin pork slices are cooked with sweet soy glace and caramelised onion, while the side veggies add a refreshing taste 👍🏻
