Recently received this dumpling gift set from my colleague which reminds me that Dragon Boat Festival is coming really soon!

@panpacificsingapore presents an exquisite ensemble of premium handcrafted rice dumplings which includes both perennial favourites and new creations which I’ve never tried before.

The gift set includes the following:
1. Cantonese Pork Dumpling with Salted Egg Yolk x2
2. Traditional Nyonya Dumpling x2
3. Grain Dumpling with Cordyceps Flowers x2
4. Bottle of Sweet and Sour Spicy Bean Paste Sauce x1

This gift set is a pretty suitable gift during this period as we are all stuck at home so why not have some fun exploring and tasting the different rice dumplings with our loved ones this Dumpling Festival☺️

Huge chunks of meat could be found within Hai Tien Lo’s cantonese pork dumpling, which also contains chestnut, mushroom and a salted egg. Pretty standard bak zhang!

This is a pretty interesting flavor! First time trying a dumpling that consists of Cordyceps Flowers, Green Beans, Black Sesame, Barley, Corn and Peanuts. But I couldn’t really taste/see any barley and green beans.

This vegetarian dumpling is milder in flavor as compared to the other dumplings, but nonetheless still tasty. It feels healthier and nutritious so I would say it’s worth a try!

This is a good charsiew bao - soft, fluffy with charsiew that had a nice balance of savoury and sweet. The truffle was present but not too overpowering!

The Traditional Jumbo Dumpling ($33.80) is the showstopper for Hai Tien Lo's dumpling offerings this year, generously filled with
pork belly, Japanese mushrooms, dried
scallops, and a salted egg yolk.
But I like their new Grain Dumpling with Cordyceps Flowers ($8.80) for a tasty dose of nourishing delicacy comprising green beans, black sesame, barley, corn, and peanuts. It's a wonderful mix of textures, and it's the sweet Cordyceps Flowers that stood out among the ingredients.
They are also offering the Cantonese Pork Dumpling ($13.80) featuring pork belly, salted egg yolk and green beans. It's a classic.

at Pan Pacific Singapore’s main entrance driveway. For enquiries, call 6826 8240 or email [email protected]

I've just checked - Hai Tien Lo's 25% with discount code TAKEAWAY25 is still valid. This brings the price of their fine Chinese food to an attractive level where half a roast duck goes for only about $30, and half a roast chicken goes for only about $23. This is available for both delivery (complimentary for $100 spend) or self-collection via pick-up or drive-through at hotel's main entrance driveway.
You only need to place your orders 2 hours in advance. Self-collection and delivery is also available with convenient extended hours from 11:30am to 10:00pm.
To recap, I also had the following from Hai Tien Lo, pictured in the second photo:
* Barbecued Roasted Duck (Half, 港式明炉烧鸭 (半只), which came complete with two types of sauces for dipping, including a sweet plum sauce.
* Sautéed Brocolli with Mushrooms in Signature homemade XO Sauce, 极品酱三菇西兰花. With slippery juicy mushrooms in mild spicy sauce, something more exciting;
* Sautéed Hong Kong Kai Lan with Preserved Vegetables, 惠州梅菜港芥兰. I like how the 梅菜 spruce up the dish with its umami;
* Deep-fried Crispy Prawns with Raspberry Sauce, 脆炸红桑果汁虾球. Like wasabi prawns, but with tangy raspberry sauce instead.
* Stewed Ee-fu Noodles with Fresh Mushrooms, 鲜菌焖伊面. Good texture, and it's a vegetarian dish.
* Braised Fresh and Dried Scallops with Fresh Mushrooms in Supreme Chicken Stock, 金银贝鲜菌黄鸡汤. Love this soup! It's rich and creamy, and naturally sweet.
* Double-boiled Pear with Tangerine Peel and Maltose, 桃膠陈皮炖津梨. A comforting dessert that's not too sweet. Refreshing end to the meal.
