4⭐ Saw on Amex app there's $100 dining credit for cumulative $300 spending at Pan Pacific Group Restaurant. I wanted to make reservation for the dim sum buffet but it's fully booked for the whole of Dec, so we settled for dinner instead. As usual WB requires a carb dish, hence ordered the crab meat fried rice. We ordered 3 more dishes and we ate till very full. I told WB the soya sauce chicken here is even better than the Michelin Star Hawker Chan which is way over rated. The roast pork here suits WB because it's so lean that there's only 2 layer, skin & meat. The cod fish dish is a bit similar to the one we ate at Sichuan Douhua. The lamb rack dish is good albeit the meat is a bit tough. The fried rice is very generous with lots of crab meat & fried scallop. Utilised my GHA Discovery Platinium membership for additional 20% off.

With so many hotels and bakeries coming up with their own unique mooncake flavours this year, we were seriously spoilt for choices😍! In the end, we settled for Hai Tien Lo as their mooncake flavours intrigued us the most😁. Their packaging certainly was fancy, as opening it felt like opening a jewelry box and inside nestled 4 exquisite looking mooncakes🥮.

However, we were not that impressed by the taste of the mooncakes. We didn’t really enjoyed the snowskin itself, and the taste for some were simply too sweet for us😣. We thought the ones that fared better were the Gianduja Yuzu and Matcha Black Sesame🍵. We really loved the Gianduja chocolate, it was thick and slightly bitter🍫. However the yuzu core was waaay too tart, which threw the balance off a little. Matcha Black Sesame was pretty good too, but we wished the black sesame taste could be stronger😬. So... I guess we'll probably be exploring our options again for next year. Happy Mid-Autumn Festival!😃

Fried grouper with pomelo sauce, unique and on point. We tried another new dish, claypot beef stew, amazing. Their homemade tofu also always delicious. We've been here several times and will be back again.
