The first time I had Ikkousha was in the early 2010s at Ramen Champion located at bugis+. I was glad they were champions 2 years in a row as they were my favourite stall, just ahead of Bario's Ramen.

Ikkousha Ramen has 2 outlets now, one here at Chijmes and the other at Tanjong Pagar. I dare to say this is my favourite Ramen in Chijmes, and considering that there's a 1 Michelin star Ramen here at chijmes.

Decided to share this God Fire Ramen with the wife. It is basically theur original tonkotsu broth with the ikkousha's secret brand of "spicy fire", thin noodles, tender pork chashu, fungus, spring onions and seaweed

U can choose the softness/firmness of the noodle u want, I usually go with normal.

U can also choose saltiness level as well, please go with the normal as its the authentic Japanese taste.

Overall, this is my Favourite Ramen here at Ikkousha. I usually go level 1 spicy la, stomach weak. Level 1 already can taste the awesomeness, any spicier, sweat too much and can't enjoy already

This place has a long snaking queue even after 8pm on a weekday.

free gyoza during your birthday month! age tallies to the number of gyozas 🤭🤭 enjoyed this deal on my mother’s 44th birthday, so we got 44 gyozas from them at no extra charge (only if you order min. 4 bowls of ramen) :-)

staff was super friendly, but restaurant was kind of cosy, so quite a long wait for a table. enjoyed the food very much and would come again if in the area!

I LOVE their ramen! Didn’t rly enjoy ramen until I had the ramen from Hakata Ikkousha!! Also had it in Melbourne and gotta say, the standards are consistently good 👍🏼

Their ramen is thinner than usual and has a really nice bite to it, it’s the main draw for me. Get the “normal” for noodle texture, “hard” tasted a bit floury and not as great. The soup is very rich and creamy, full of collagen but not salty/msg-laden. I got the tonkotsu standard, but I would love to try the light version to see how it compares.

Ingredients were pretty good too - chashu was lean and thin but very tender and easy to eat, there’s also some black fungus for the crunch. I stole half an ajitama (+$2) from my bf and it was very flavourful with that jammy yolk. They also give each person a hardboiled egg, but the yolk is fully cooked so it can get a bit chalky.

TLDR: one of the best ramen spots in SG. Worth the queue 👌🏼

hard noodles ftw!!! as expected, the Hakata-style noodles were thin🍜 super lean chashu (literally no fat). broth was quite rich & hearty despite selecting for it to be light. there wasn’t much of a mentaiko taste - just tonkotsu & chilli oil. and ofc, adding AJITAMA ($2) is mandatory🥚

there was a long queue outside, but we were seated almost immediately because nobody in line wanted to take the outdoor tables.

ramen-loving all day for rainy weather like this 🥰😋

tonkatsu ramen ($13.00) with hard boiled egg on a side. absolutely love when ramen are garnished with spring onions generously. ramen soup broth was not salty and very drinkable, service crews were so friendly and approachable to assist!
