Thereโ€™s a @jpassportsg coupon to grab as many gyozas as your age if itโ€™s one day before, on or one day after your birthday! So, letโ€™s just say my dining partners had to cancel all their gyoza orders ๐Ÿคฃ The gyozas here have a thin and crispy skin and loaded with meaty juices with some veggies! Definitely worth the queue!

Iโ€™m not the biggest fan of ramen, but I enjoyed the Tonkotsu ramen here ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ˜‹! The ramen noodles were thin and springy (and you can even customize how soft or firm you want the noodles to be!). And the pork broth was very flavourful. They also provide free-flow hard boiled eggs and condiments. I recommend trying Takana (spicy pickled mustard leaf), as it goes well with the ramen ๐Ÿ˜‹

Simply put, Hakata Ikkousha Ramen wowed me again with their Tonkotsu Mentaiko Special (S$18.00), which came with creamy pork broth with Mentaiko flavour and a hint of spiciness. I found that with a regular broth, every sip of the soup carried this seafood umami that probably came from the Mentaiko, so I was actually pleased with the flavours of the broth. Not only that, getting โ€œHardโ€ noodles was actually quite a good choice that I had made, because the noodles somehow tasted firm but did not soak in too much of the chilli oil.

Thank goodness for the pitcher of iced water on the table, I was assured that I could drink up after the meal, especially when the broth was on the salty side. However, it should be salty enough to bring out the feel in authentic Japanese Ramen.

Bonito Ramen (Chicken ร— Bonito ร— Pork Soup) without special topping ($13.50) is interesting concept of chicken ร— pork inside ramen. It's filled with pork cha-shu, bamboo shoots, seaweed and spring onion. I'm never getting tired of ordering ramen at here. I always like to do custom order for ramen. Because its quite best standard for ramen and goyza for many years to come.

free eggs! apart from the free flow hard boiled eggs that was certainly a plus point, the tonkotsu ramen broth was rich and flavourful and the noodles were close to perfection. the amount of chashu was a little disappointing but it was nonetheless a value-for-money bowl of ramenโ˜บ๏ธ

I love it that you can choose the hardness of your noodles as I like my noodles to be very hard and this place allows that compared to some other ramen places. The pork char siew was not to my liking as it was too lean and chewy. 6.0/10
