Griddled Sautéed Potato 🥔, Bean, Lotus Root 干锅地三鲜 (S$10.80)
The flavours was a bit uneven. Vegetables was crunchy.

Stewed Chicken 🐓 in Casserole with Three Cup Sauce 砂锅三杯鸡 (S$13.80/ small)
Nice flavour with tender meat.

My dad was craving noodle soup when we visited this eatery for the first time, so I chose their Homestyle Noodles for him. My mum and I ended up sharing it with him as the serving was pretty hearty. It’s very similar in taste to one of the noodle dishes at “Old House” on Neil Road that we like - both have a sweet-from-pork-and-clams soup that is a tad starchy (probably from the flour of the “la mian”). Unlike that one, this has no seafood - only flimsy slices of pork belly and mushrooms, vegetables, crispy ikan bilis and an egg, but it was tasty enough. Fresh “khng chye” (coriander) is used as a garnish, something I love as it adds a distinct fragrance to the dish.

Girddled Mala Chicken ($15.80)

A tray of bitesized chicken stirfried with chilli and peppercorn. Mala flavour is there but not very strong. Spicyness level was moderate. My annoyance was getting past the crunchy bone bits that came with the chicken and it set me wondering why would bone-in chicken be chopped up to this extent? Might as well us boneless chicken thigh meat? I think the only consolation was that I got this for half the price with #burpplebeyond.
