Like how thin and crispy the pancake is with generous chunks of succulent squids and prawns; and lingering flavors of kimchi!

Not forgetting the free flow side dishes. Not just 3 or 4 but a whooping 7 varieties! Dishes are decently priced too and sharing portions are generous!

anywayz, was torn between lola and hansik after searching through burpple app. arguably the ROI (by plates count per meal) is higher because any self-respecting korean restaurant will serve you complimentary banchan fares. so a bigger bang for my bucks right? i know, don't judge. also because after one episodes too many of the korea drama, "let's eat 2".
.
so beef japchae i did with a very enjoyable light tasting spread of authentic korean banchan. japchae was flavorful but glass noodles short of that chewy shiokness i was hoping for. could be wetter too for that ultimate slurping effect. now am really missing Three Meals A Day in bukit timah. .

no matter, will be happy to try their other dishes again at queensway though, not kovan. ha

This is a great place for lunch due to their super affordable lunch menus. Nothing costs more than $13 and their side dish is refillable and they also give free iced tea. The spicy beef soup $10.90 is extremely tasty and has a strong beefy taste with large chunks of beef briskets and tang hoon too! The kimchi seafood pancake is really good too ($9.90 I think) and has prawns and sotong inside. If you're craving for something light, the herbal chicken soup is pretty good as well and they give you half a tender and soft chicken!

This Budae Jigae ticked all the right boxes, the ingredients were plenty and the soup thick and salty. Topping up the soup thinned it down enough that we slurpped it all up. Friends commented that there was plenty of meat to go around, enough to lend the base a sausage flavor.

$40 (Army Stew) + $4 (extra Ramyun + soup top up) = craving satisfied
