Happy Congee (ARC 380)

You can barely see the pork but this entire bowl is flooded with century Egg. So you know which to add if you're going to order here

It's a very good Porridge, it's pretty salty(not overly) and the meats are marinated, congee is smooth and not overly thick, while the generous ingredients(century Egg) made it very savoury.

Rice noodle rolls are pretty common in most parts of Singapore, but this stall offers something unique. Their Rice Noodles Roll with Dough Stick ($4) is really pretty simple with just the usual fried dough stick wrapped with rice noodles, but actually really delicious! The contrast in textures between the silky smooth but chewy rice noodles and the crispy airy dough within was really much appreciated! The simple soya sauce gave this dish a satisfying savoury kick. Definitely a dish recommended to share!

A decent bowl of congee that's elevated by the top-notch meat slices.

Don't expect to be filling.

Ordered this via grab. Running out good dim sum restaurant to order. Happen to chance upon this and based on online review, decided to give it a go. Was a happy customer. Sorry it my lousy photography doesn’t do justice to the food. I ordered chicken porridge and zha leong. Porridge was the typical Cantonese style which I liked. Zha leong was nice and the skin was thin. Will I order again? YES!

Made by tightly wrapping Chee Cheong Fun (rice noodle roll) around youtiao (deep-fried dough stick), @happycongeesg nails the overall experience with contrasting textures of silky-smooth sheets and crispy-fluffy sticks. It will be perfect if it was less greasy.😄

P.S. It’s SGD4 per plate.
