Charcoal roasted char siew with the charred bits! Roast pork skin was real crispy and with melt in the mouth fats.

Set came with a bowl of soup, taste like herbal kind of soup. The only downside is the portion size ๐Ÿ˜ช. It's enough for me as a small eater but won't be enough for some.

Would eat this again though ๐Ÿ‘Œ

With the rainy season here, I started craving for meals with hot soups, and this hits the spot. The Sliced Fish Bee Hoon ($4.30) from this coffeeshop boasts THICC slices of fish that were so fresh and a very comforting soup that is cloudy from hours of boiling fish bones. Paired with their chilli, this is one dish that will warm not only your belly, but your heart as well ๐Ÿ˜

Traditionally these was steamed and served as it is.
The deep fried version kept it last longer and additional fragrant.
Yummy bites always.

.
We stacked this with 2 meats and 5 vegetables - pork loin, luncheon meat, cabbage, lotus root, oyster mushroom, beancurd skin, and noodles.
.
I like that it's not overly salty or oily, with a light spicy kick - though I wish their 'medium' was more spicy.
.
But it's among the most value for money I've had, even cheaper than the stall in the nearby Bedok interchange hawker centre. Don't mind returning for more.

I arrived at 1040am (when the stall only opened at 1030am), and there were 2 others lined up in the queue in front of me and I thought that I beat the queue. But nope, was given a queue number of 15!! And they kind of only started serving customers at 11+am?? (Shouldn't they prepared the food first before they even open and start taking orders?) So yep, the wait was 1 hour on an early sat morning! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ (The queue even got longer at 11+am, as shown in last photo!) For the food, I thought dintaifung's rice was more fragrant, although this pork chop was marinated well (although could do with more marination) and didn't have any smelly porky smell). But this could do if you don't have the money for dintaifung (although it is not worth the 1 hour queue. But at least u are given a buzzer and need not wait in line). However, the chilli featured in the photo didn't really go well with the dish.
