Previously was here twice and fell in love with their beef+foie gras rice bowl and burger (and coffee no doubt). They have since revamped their menu and jumped on the sando wagon. Opting for a more wallet-friendly version, the sando came with wagyu beef patty in between two light and fluffy bread. The patty felt more like a beef hamburg that was delicious and oozing with meaty savoury flavour. Not A4 grade but still satisfying and filling.

Custard Cream Bun
Super soft and fluffy bun with very lightly whipped custard cream. Not much of an intense flavour going on here but if you like mild creamy flavours and bread this might be a good option for you.

Matcha Cream Bun
Similar to the custard cream bun, texture of the bun here was immaculately soft and fluffy. The matcha cream filling was light, and I personally would have appreciated a much stronger flavour when it comes to my matcha.

Bolognese fries with slightly chunkier bits of iberico pork. Worth it for the portion and how quality the pork was, but I thought that the sauce was slightly on the sweeter and less on the savoury side!

Now that Sandos are all that, everyone wants sandos with that glorious cheese pull that is both satisfying to both the tastebuds and the eye. Admittedly, I’m a fan of the cheesy sandos, but it doesn’t take away the fact that the Dashimaki Mentai Tamago Sando is a fierce competitor of the cheesy sandos out there. The 2 thick, glorious yellow tamago slabbed in between two pieces of bread and glazed with the pinkish mentai sauce was an aesthetic to die for. But more importantly, this was one flavourful sando. The light and fluffy tamagoyaki was huge in portion and rich in sweetness, while the mentaiko sauce added a touch of savouriness to its entirety. While the mentaiko sauce was delicious, it overpowered the yuzu and Karashi mayo, which I hoped to have experienced. Nonetheless, I’d recommend this especially if you love tamago!

The glorious nitamago sitting in between the sandwich is enough to convince me to try them. While the eggs were lightly flavoured, it was complemented with homemade potato salad and truffle oil that was much stronger in flavour. This is one for the carb monsters though, for bread and the mushed up potatoes were enough to give you a more than filling sensation. I personally preferred something less carby, so if you’re like me, I’d recommend the mentai tamago sando instead!
