Served with chap chye, half egg and baked beans》$7.90

Sweet, sour and spicy all in this dish. The tangy and spicy sauce on the chicken makes me crave for more although it gets a little fiery on the tongue after awhile. Chap chye was decent but I didn't like the egg and baked beans. I'm so used to the taste of canned baked beans and I couldn't accept when it turned out different. The chicken and spicy sauce is something that would make me order this again.

Requested to exclude squid from my hokkien mee and it came with generous amount of clams and prawn. This was surprisingly good, way better than expected with generous amount of clams, wok-hei and chilli. I usually prefer to get my hokkien mee from hawker centres as I think it's more fragrant and taste better so I wasn't putting any high hopes when I ordered hokkien mee from a restaurant》$9.90

That's the official name haha amusing. It tasted as you imagine.

Interesting! Instead of the usual milk, they use coconut milk. For a cheap drink, there's a strange allure. In fact, I had bandung earlier in the day and wasn't turned off by this.

If you reckon the meat is the centrepiece of this dish, it's fine. I reckon it's the pasta because of the "salted egg" branding, and on that, it's a failure. There are all kinds of salted egg interpretations, from creamy to powdery, spicy to sweet, and for some reason they screwed up here. Basically a watery sauce that tasted of pirated salted egg.

First of all, I don't get the wordplay. That's an appropriate opening for a bad review. I ordered this as a leek lover and the last thing to expect was basic Tenderfresh chicken topped with raw leek. Why bother creating a dish when you made no effort to do so? Luckily, both sides were impressive. Yam fries with XO sauce were yam cake sticks and probably trumped carrot cake sticks. Kimchi coleslaw showed some novelty.
