Two of my favourite flavours. But if this cake taught me anything, it's that cakes have to be cold lol. The room temperature made it terrible.
Thumbs up for novelty, thumbs down for execution. The pancakes were mushy and bitter, the avocado yoghurt was mushy and bitter. Bad combo. The dukkah was sharp and contrasted the others well, but ultimately it was insignificant.
I love trying new and interesting dishes, so hei Kim’s beetroot pancake was definitely up my street. Had an interesting taste to it (healthy tasting too) and a sticky texture. The dressing (avocado yogurt) added a good touch and flavour on top of the pancakes. The only thing I wish wasn’t part of the dish was the black pepper they sprinkled all around the pancakes.
P.s. if you only like sweet pancakes, you could probably give this a miss.
Oh I liked this. Both savoury and sweet. 2 pieces of large brioche, several pieces of bacon, side of icecream, drizzled with maple syrup. Tad sinful.
There’s burpple beyond so the food is cheap and value for money. The drinks are a no. Oh but sorry, haven’t tried the coffee. don’t order the tea lattes.
