🍑Peach Vanilla Mousse ($9)
The peaches are imported from Japan. It was not too sweet. The mousse was richly thick.
💚Pandan Madeleine ($3)
Freshly baked. The taste of pandan is strong enough.

This was a dream come true
👩🏻: I don't usually take the cream on cakes but I love the cream I can finish it!!
👧🏻: Best cakes I've had in awhile!!
Might be "its dad's birthday" mood but honestly everything tasted great, from the DELICIOUS MILKY LIGHT CREAM, soft sponge cake, crisp layer of tart base in the Mont Blanc...
Then on to the contrasting sweetness of milk and dark cacao chocolate used in the chocolate swirl roll that gain the approval of a self-proclaim chocoholic i.e. me.
So need to be bring my cake loving aunts to their new outlet at tanjong pagar (because Dempsey's Henri Charpentier will be closed from Dec onwards)
P.S: Main point though happy birthday to my 爸爸💖


It is hard to come by Mille feuille in this part of the world (unlike France ahhh~) and even harder to come by a GOOD Mille feuille, but Henri's has got the components right - crispy puff pastry, fresh strawberries, a luscious but light layer of cream, and vanilla ice cream for that extra punch. Though a bit pricey at S$20+, you'd still walk away satisfied.

In November 2014, I had this to say about this dessert: "Much of the bill goes towards paying for the glorious pyrotechnics performed right at your very own table, as well as for the copious amounts of liqueur that, when you carefully break the glass-sharp sugar bowl, cascade marvelously all over the mousse and pineapple. You will get buzzed. 4.5/5"

I am happy to report that after a revisit this year, my views remain unchanged, heh. Ridiculously potent.


the presentation and this chocolate dome cake was epic. loved it! though I think they can cut down on their raspberry sauce... (RMB to stop the Chef from over pouring!)


Ahh...these sweeties. Take my money and the weighing scale any time! But can't say the same for the overpriced latte.
