Paired my sake with a plethora of skewers. Carb options available eg sakura capellini & crab meat fried rice (preferred the latter). Was satisfying!

There was a v young waiter that was super friendly, didn't get his name but thank you for your good service.. It uplifted our moods despite the impending doom of CB2.

Overall a pleasant experience, shall seek to return after we can dine in again.

Hibiki Sake Bar & Dine's happy hour runs from 5-7:30PM, during which you get double the usual portion for the price, but served in a single glass. These were so refreshing in the humidity & heat.

We did order a 2nd round of sake at 19:22hrs, however we were told we had to finish the drinks on our table first. That was fine - we asked our waitress if she'd return before happy hour ended at 19:30. She said ok, but she didn't. & that was how we lost our 2nd round of drinks, just like that.

An understated but soul-satisfying set lunch of soft chicken thigh and egg simmered in dashi and soya sauce, over a bed of quality short grain rice. Each set lunch comes with pickles, salad and miso soup. What’s even better is you can top-up $5 for a glass of decent red or white wine to complete your power lunch experience.

Relocated from Bukit Timah (and unrelated to the sake brand of the same name; it’s the owner’s name apparently) and now the first (?) restaurant along this particular stretch at the newly opened Paya Lebar Quarters. Fuss-free, straightforward execution that hits the spot. Reuben the manager mentioned that the vast majority of their sake is directly imported from Japan. Looks like this gets added to the “where shall we go for a convenient location to snack and booze in the east” list.

Satisfying meal especially on a rainy day! There are various lunch sets to choose from. Sukiyaki set comes with Japanese Wagyu Beef, full pot of ingredients and rice. Portion size is just right for 1 pax!
