We queued for almost 1.5 hours to get a seat during a Saturday morning. The “Cham” or known as “Yuan-Yang” is a must, love it’s thick and fragrance smell! Curry chee-cheong-fun is another must try stuff...

This cool kopitiam is all the rage right now for its no-frills local grub that's done very well. Open from 7.30am, come here for a satisfying breakfast before work – Curry Chee Cheong Fun (RM4.80), Butter Crunchy Sugar Bun (RM4.50) and a strong cup of Kopi (from RM2.90). At lunch, try the Steamed Chicken with Black Fungus (RM11.90) and Ginger Fried Chicken with Sesame Oil and Mushrooms (RM11.90), all served with a bowl of rice and vegetables. Cap off the meal with their daily desserts like the sweet Sea Coconut Longan (RM6.90) or Nyonya kuih.

Back to Ho Kow Hainam Kopitiam for ho kow kopi peng and awesome dry curry chicken meehoon.

Talked about typical national breakfast of multi-races country, Ho Kow definitely is a hit. Though renovated to be a nostalgic cafe, it somehow remains many of the characteristics of our breakfast culture. Using the age old plates and cups we seen in those days, to serve the common combination of food we love a lot, at an affordable price right in the middle of the city center, why would we not love them. Feeling is important, but more importantly is the food. Food are great especially item that deals with curry. Satisfying meal! Everything were good. The only thing wasn't really hit my liking is the rice of Nasi Lemak, it was a little too hard I think. Other than that, all are fine. Expect a 30 min waiting time at peak breakfast and brunch hour. Price: RM 15 per pax, Food: 9/10

Waited almost 2 hours on a weekend. As soon we were seated, efficient service and food was served pretty fast •

Super kow kow iced cham & kopi that would bring nostalgic feels to oldies, thick flavorful curry with promising chunky pieces of chicken instead of boney chicken and other typical kopitiam delights 👌 #highlyRAEted •

Dried Chicken Curry Meehoon RM10.90 • Nasi Lemak Ayam Goreng RM12.90 • Fungus Scallop Dumpling RM4.60 • Tobiko Flower RM4.60 • Butter & Kaya Steamed Bread w Half Boiled Eggs RM5.90 • Iced Cham // Iced Kopi RM3.80 •

Once you stepped in, it transforms into a contemporary modern coffeeshop but still serving the traditional food. The eggs on toast with curry is amazing on its own but when paired with the dark roasted traditional kopi, it makes an impeccable partnership. However, the star of the show for me has got to be their signature curry chicken noodles, which I got the bee hoon option and it’s drenched in a thick and creamy curry that’s flavourful and wholesome. Another special mention is the nasi lemak which is served with a deep fried chicken leg that has been marinated with fermented beancurd, a less-than-common marination.
