I really like Hoho Korean’s rendition of the seafood pancake. It is cooked till crispy and is studded with prawns, squid, clams albeit the tiny frozen types sold in the supermarkets. It is served with a killer umami dip topped with chives and sesame seeds. The pancake tends to be a little greasy but is soooo good I can finish the whole thing on my own in one sitting. Enough said.

Hoho Korean at Sunset Way never fails to impress with its authentic home cooked Korean dishes. This seafood jjampong boasted incredibly fresh seafood with springy noodles. This bowl doesn’t come cheap though. It costs a whopping $28.

Hidden gem found at clementi. Ordered the kimchi soup and seafood pancake which was very tasty and homely. Very value for money korean fare. Service was good as well. Will definitely come back again!

Side dishes are really good for refreshing the palate in between bites, else the tongue will grow tired of the same taste, which i did for the bibimbap.. #SeafoodPancake was crispy with chunky seafood that added texture but it lacked flavour. Kimchi pancake was flavourful enough even the sour taste of kimchi but had no texture to it. Would be good to come out with a kimchi seafood pancake to marry the merits of both pancakes.

Spicy korean fried chicken was too sweet.

So sad to be bidding farewell to @heygillian with this meal.. almost a complete turnover now 😭

Surprise to find this cosy little Korean restaurant at Sunset Way, opened by a friendly Korean owner.

Priced at $20, this Haemul-Pajeon (Green onion pancake with seafood) was one of my favorite dishes. The pancake was not too thick and fried to crispy but not burnt even though it looks dark brown. There were different ingredients in the pancake such as prawns, squids and of course green onions.

One thing to mention is the dipping sauce, which wasn't too salty and had a tinge of sweetness. Also, the addition of sesame seeds contributed to the fragrance of the sauce. I couldn't stop dipping the sauce at all!

They also have a wide variety of dishes, even for pancakes itself they have kimchi, vegetable and potato pancakes too! Had a hard time deciding between kimchi and this green onion seafood pancake. I will probably be back again to try the other dishes such as their jjajangmyeon, kimchi pancake and Korean fried chicken!

By the way, their side dishes were good too! They provided 8 side dishes generously, such as fish cakes, kimchi, mashed potato, anchovies, bean sprouts.

when you are done with monday's work and you wanna a fast meal, the kinda cooked by oma in seconds, you can count on hoho at sunset. this kimchi fried rice and a sunny side up is high-flavor with a very comforting wetness. count on the kimchi bits in between mouths for that extra crunchingness!
