Known for serving 2 dishes which are rarely paired together, this stall's rendition of Chinese Hainanese beef noodles outperforms their laksa.
.
The beef noodles has a rich, gloopy thick gravy enhanced with beef stock, resulting in robust meaty savoury salty flavour. Slurp it up with the silky thick bee hoon / rice vermicelli noodles, so satisfying.
.
The beef slices are chewy, the tripe crunchy, and the beef meat balls juicy, all having bold meaty savoury sweet notes. The crunchy pickled mustard greens and lime juice contrast nicely with vegetal salty zesty sour flavour, yum.

Really liked the dry beef noodles. I felt it was not too salty, light (in a good way) and yet still flavourful, especially with the lime and chilli πŸ˜‹

Opted for beef slices and beef ball with Laksa. Soup was indeed slightly watery as mentioned by other reviewers but it wasn't diluted. Thought they might have used beef soup as the base as the soup is quite sweet and not as oily compared to normal Laksa. The beef ball was really good!

Tried the soup beef noodle. The soup very light and clear, with ingredients like beef, beef stomach, beef tendon, beef tripe, beef balls.
I like they add preserved vegetables. πŸ’°$4.5

Interesting found in this food centre, unlike the usual laksa; this one comes with beef meats inside.

Their laksa rather taste too watery for me, but the generous portion of the beef given worth having it a try. $5.50

Some people say the standard of their beef noodles (S$4.00) has dropped, but I was totally not disappointed with the tenderness of the beef slices and also the strong flavours of the beef gravy that comes with the dry version of the noodles. Even the bowl of soup that comes as a side is tasty.

One difference from my previous visit though, is that the stall owners say that they do not serve the pickled vegetables as a condiment anymore. While I have nothing to lose from this, some may find a loss of balance with this missing ingredient.
