Opted for beef slices and beef ball with Laksa. Soup was indeed slightly watery as mentioned by other reviewers but it wasn't diluted. Thought they might have used beef soup as the base as the soup is quite sweet and not as oily compared to normal Laksa. The beef ball was really good!

Tried the soup beef noodle. The soup very light and clear, with ingredients like beef, beef stomach, beef tendon, beef tripe, beef balls.
I like they add preserved vegetables. 💰$4.5
📍Hong Heng Beef Noodle Soup and Laksa.

Interesting found in this food centre, unlike the usual laksa; this one comes with beef meats inside.

Their laksa rather taste too watery for me, but the generous portion of the beef given worth having it a try. $5.50

Some people say the standard of their beef noodles (S$4.00) has dropped, but I was totally not disappointed with the tenderness of the beef slices and also the strong flavours of the beef gravy that comes with the dry version of the noodles. Even the bowl of soup that comes as a side is tasty.

One difference from my previous visit though, is that the stall owners say that they do not serve the pickled vegetables as a condiment anymore. While I have nothing to lose from this, some may find a loss of balance with this missing ingredient.

Famous for their beef noodles which I couldn't try, I went with the laksa instead. Wanted a mix of prawns and cockles but that meant a dollar top up. The soup didn't have the nice laksa fragrance and wasn't flavorful, although I added chilli and lots of chopped dried prawns were found at the bottom of the soup. My friends said the beef noodles were good, so skip this and give that a try!

This was good! Not a long queue on a weekday lunch. The beef soup that came with it was good and flavourful but a bit salty towards the end. No complaints though as the beef slices were awesome! Generous portion and cooked just right. One thing I don't like about eating this was the need to be careful to keep the sauce from splashing onto my shirt (yes, I'm that careless)!
