I always visit Hong Ji Herbs BKT when craving for herbal BKT. The broth was mild herbal (which I prefer) served with generous ingredients, from pork ribs, intestine, liver, pig stomach and mushroom.
Order extra youtiao for deep into the soup.

Herbal bkt is so hard to find in sg but this is the absolute one that my fam always goes to. The queue can be q long because almost everyone in the hawker centre is ordering this!!
Spent around $22.40 total for 2 pax
- herbal pork ribs bkt for 2 (the quality of meat is good and you can ask for extra soup as well)
- braised pork trotters
- youtiao (sadly itโ€™s soggyโ€ฆ)
- mee sua / rice
Highly recommended and always perfect for rainy days ๐Ÿ˜

Bak Kut teh broth was mild herbal (which I prefer) served with a lot ingredients, from pork ribs, intestine, liver, pig stomach and mushroom.
The braised intestine was clean, and the sauce was sweeter than the bak Kut teh.
Price increased fr my last visit.
๐Ÿ’ฐ$25.4

The herbal bak kut teh is not common in Singapore and is much more common in some parts of Malaysia, but there is one coffee shop in Marsiling that sells it! Hong Ji Claypot Bak Kut Teh serves the herbal bak kut teh in a steaming-hot claypot and the picture shows the 2-person serving. The soup contained quite a lot of ingredients, with around 8 pieces of pork ribs, and a decent serving of taupok and button mushrooms! ๐Ÿ˜‹ The soup isn't excessively medicinal/herbal and it actually comes with a lightly sweet flavour which can be quite refreshing!

With 2 bowls of rice and 1 serving of youtiao, we paid around $15, which is fairly reasonable since it is a very big bowl of Bak kut teh! The stall is open very early in the morning and we had the dish for breakfast, although we felt that it could be slightly heavy for those of us who don't eat a lot in the morning. While the coffee shop is rather empty in the morning, we have been there for dinner before and it can be rather challenging to get a table.

Not often Black Bak Kut Teh is offered in hawker centre but this small shop in Marsiling offered it.

Soup was nice and price was cheap. Spend a total of $29.50 for medium Bak Kut Teh, small pig tail bone, large intestine, beancurd skin, mushroom, salted vegetable and two bowl of rice.
