Tze Char for routine family dinner. This is one of my favourite Tze Char places. The medley of dishes deserves your attention.

You can tell from the photo that I absolutely LOVE Yam Rings and this one does not disappoint . ($18)

The Curry Fish Head is rich in flavour and the gravy is the perfect accompaniment for the rice. ($25)

Strong in flavour, the Cuttlefish Kang Kong makes me want to eat my greens. ($18)

The highlight of my meal was definitely the Har Cheong Gai. It was crispy and well marinated yet not too salty. Yummy! ($15)

I thought it will be dry but it turned out the deep fried pork is crispy on the exterior and tender inside. This is flavoured by the aromatic garlic, elevating the whole dimension of the dish.

This dish is not about meaty fish flesh but appreciating the shark cartilage and collagen of the shark's upper jaw area.

The crab is not as fresh as I would have preferred. The bee hoon also failed to soak up the essence and the broth lacked depth.

Horfun - Tasteless, Noodles slightly harder than usual
Bitter Gourd Pork - Normal
Salted Egg Pork Rib - probably too much flour. Extremely mushy and soft meat

so back here.

standard salted egg yolk prawns which had a good crisp with the savoury salted egg yolk sauce. have to order this although its bloody ex. from 15 become 18 now after the nearby btos are completed.

cant find fault with the sambal potato leaves. prefer potato leaves over kang kong because they are softer.

nothing special about the marmite pork ribs this time round. time to try new dish next time. tried a dried chilli sotong kia. the chilli got kick but i think i will stick to the calamari style unless its the deep fried sotong kia.

and a silver fish fried to share too. seldom see silver fish fried rice around or have i been stuck in the well of yewslums for too long? 😂

20 per pax.
