The good’o wanton noodles is one of the most beloved dishes in Singapore and rightly so. Everyone has their own take of what a good plate tastes like. For me, it simply has to be a plate where all the ingredients come together harmoniously, complementing one another. Simple ingredients that are well prepared is the key.

The good:
Roasted pork (added for $3) was crunchy with each bite

The not-so-good:
- noodles were lumpy and had strong alkaline taste
- gravy was dry and flavor wise pretty bland

The bad:
- Char siew was supposed to be the star of this place but they simply gave off-cuts that were lean and awful

Price: $4.50 (Wanton Noodle) + $3 (roast pork)

Roasted Pork Char Siew Rice + Char Siew ($7)
- Sambal was sweet but spicier than most, numbing sensation on tongue; Do not go crazy on the sambal
- Char siew had a strong caramelisation all around and a melt-in-your-mouth tender bite. Every single piece of char siew was well caramelised and the pieces of char siew here were fattier than other stalls making it much more satisfying and sinful
- Roasted pork here must have been the best out of all the roast meat stalls I have tasted in SG thus far. The skin truly had a biscuit-like crust and a good proportion of tender meat and fat meant that immediately after the satisfying crunch from the skin, the meat and fat would melt in your mouth
- Generous sweet sauce coated every grain of rice complementing the saltish flavours of the meat really well

I tried this for the first time and I raved about it to my friends and colleagues because it was that good. The char siew is a bit on the sweet side but it’s glazed perfectly. The fats with the meat melts in your mouth there’s also a fragrance that makes your mouth drool for more. The key of the platter is definitely the pork belly. The meat is tender, the fats is shiok and the skin crispy. It’s not even hard. This is definitely one of the best pork belly that I’ve ever eaten. It’s a must try!


This is the best roasted pork belly in all of Singapore. Crunchy, salty crackling; gooey, tasty fat; tender, juicy pork.... worth the queues. Also try the amazing wanton mee (wet) here.

The signature Siew Yoke (roast pork belly) was so delightful; crispy crackling skin sitting atop thickly cut slices of meat that were oh so succulent.

The Char Siew was excellent as well; sweetly caramelised charred meats that were super tender and had a good amount of melt-in-the-mouth fats.


$5.50 for a plate of this was quite expensive more expensive than the other famous roast meat stalls around singapore like fatty cheong which only charges $4. The charsiew was really tender with a good amount of fat distribution in the meat and the glaze wasn’t overly sweet. The roast pork was fatty and savory too, with the skin still retaining its signature crunch. Nothing to fault here except that it’s overpriced for quite a small portion. Be careful with the chili though it packs quite a punch and a little goes a long way.
