What surprised me the most was the Dried Scallop Pork Porridge 干贝瘦肉粥 ($3) - surprisingly tasty & comforting. I am completely not a pork nor porridge lover, but I found myself scooping seconds from the communal bowl into my own.
The Siew Mai 香菇蒸烧卖 & Har Gao 虾角 were substantially full of meat! The Har Gao was displayed on the menu as fried, but I asked if they had a non-fried option - thankfully they did. They are sold in quantities of 1 ($1 each), so there's no issue of over-eating if you're dining alone.
The freshly made Chee Cheong Fun 现做现卖猪肠粉 ($3) comes in 3 variants: Fresh Prawns 鲜虾, Chicken 鸡肉, & Char Siew 叉烧. I tried all but the chicken - they were delicious & indeed fresh. The silky slippery smooth texture was a bonus, too - but the rice noodle rolls were a bit too thick & gooey for my liking.
Hong Kong Dim Sum 老黎香港点心's menu boasts a fairly extensive catalog of 14 dishes! Unfortunately, everything is entirely labelled in Chinese - there are clear pictures, but if you don't read/understand Chinese & aren't familiar with dimsum, this could be a problem for you.
