We ordered the char siew and prawn chee cheong fun that came doused in homemade soya sauce with a dollop of sambal belacan and then sprinkled with sesame seeds. The rice rolls were thin and silky smooth with a melt in the mouth texture.

They are generous with the amount of char siew placed in their rice rolls and this is more sweet and savoury in flavour coming from the char siew. I personally prefer the prawn rice roll that is lighter in flavour with fresh and crunchy prawns wrapped in there.

(5 SGD) smooth and silky skin stuffed with juicy prawns and sprinkled with toasted sesame seeds. Soaked up the sweet-savory sauce nicely. Was lucky to find little queue on a weekday around 12:30.

CCF was freshly made and it’s so smooth and silky. Char Siew was generous too

This freshly hand-made chee cheong fun here was super silky and soft! The accompanying sauce was very flavourful, almost to the point of too salty towards the end of the meal, but still delicious.

We queued for about 30 minutes on a weekday afternoon - the long wait is due to the amount of effort and time required for each serving of food. You can watch them steam, skillfully transfer and cut each and every rice noodle roll individually, and then repeat it all over again for the next plate.

Worth the wait. This place also has a “Michelin Plate”, with good reason. Serving size is turned out to be quite big and filling so the price was good.

This sported a short queue at 7.45am on a Tuesday morning. They serve very soft and silky ccf - ccf sheets were thin and delicate. Sauce was very fragrant (prob bc of the sesame oil) with a sweet & savoury flavour profile, but it was a bit too much towards the end. So maybe we would have preferred if the sauce was at the side, also because it permeated the ccf quickly and made it soggy.

The charsiew was chopped into tiny pieces, was not bad but I preferred the plain one a little more.

Comparing this to “freshly made ccf” at old airport hawker, the ccf here is thinner and the sauce here is very slightly more intense. The one at old airport has a greater variety of ingredients. So it depends on what u prefer, but both are good places for hawker hk style ccf :)

Simple menu of 4 fillings of chee cheong fun to choose from - Plain ($3), Prawns ($5), Scallops ($6) and this Char Siew. Took about 15 minutes to reach our turn and their queue was perpetually long, but no complaints! While I’ve only got to try one other fresh made ccf, this was sooo much better. It was soft and smooth but not at all soggy or mushy. It had a generous filling of char siew bits and pour of light soy sauce. Loved the well-balanced salty and sweet combination here. Initially felt that the price was a bit steep, but it was a filling plate. Really impressive, will surely get this again!
