Being one who loathes red beans and nuts, I am glad that this takeaway kiosk in Hongdae offers a variety of unique and interesting flavours (swipe to view the menu), as well as savoury flavours for those without a sweet tooth! As a fan of Injeolmi, I headed for one of the bestsellers, injeolmi honey while my dining partner chose the Oreo honey. Prepared freshly upon order, the hotteok is best eaten hot and fresh from the grill, with a chewy mochi-like texture.The injeolmi honey pancake is coated generously with bean flour powder, possessing a pleasant roasted flavour and lingering aroma which I adore, along with a honey-filled interior that was sweet yet not saccharine or cloying π. On the other hand, the oreo honey is coated with crushed Oreo crumbs, along with a chewy interior filled with honey. If you are a fan of oreo or chocolatey desserts, this would probably be your kind of pancake. As for me, I personally prefer Injeolmi, being a huge fan of earthy, roasted flavours (apart from black sesame) π¬ . Note that this is only a takeaway kiosk hence no seats are available but definitely a convenient snack if you are busy shopping or exploring the bustling streets of Hongdae! ππ»
