Their original egg tarts are really good. The custard is creamy and wobbly so good. It pairs well with the flakey pastry. I used to think I will only love tai cheong but after tasting this. It hold a dear place in my heart too. I am surpised
Of course we had to savour the famous chicken pie at Honolulu Cafe when we went to Centrepoint. We were left belly satisfied with the golden brown savoury bakes of creamy chicken encased in a mildly sweet short crust pastry shell. Honolulu Cafe would give a certain local bakery chain also famous for its short crust chicken pies a run for its money.
Egg tart ($2.06++ for one)
Egg custard is creamy and nice. The crust is flaky and buttery too and has a tinge of the burnt smell which I liked. The staff will heat it up for it when you're having it in. The egg tart is slightly small though.
Curry Beef Tendon Rice ($9.80++):
Beef tendon is very tender with a good amount of fats, goes perfectly with the curry and rice
Fried rice ($8.80++)
Fried rice has a good wokhei. Quite nice when paired with the dried chilli.
