At this modern establishment in old Pudu, brunch is their yummy namesake, hoppers. The snazzy locale sports pink walls, neon lights and Bollywood posters — fun vibes for a day out with friends. If it's your first time at Hoppers, try the Slow Roasted Chicken Rendang Hopper (RM11). The nasi-lemak inspired hopper is topped with a tasty rendang chicken and nasi lemak trimmings — think anchovies, peanuts and cucumber. It's also quite filling for a hopper and thus, presents the most value for money in our books. We also found a favourite in a sweet appam, the Mango With Toasted Black Sesame And Coconut Milk (RM9). Laced with edible flowers, this is a pretty dish that straddles refreshing tropical flavours with a dash of creamy coconut milk. Regulars will be pleased to know that the kitchen now dishes out specials too! We hear of a vegetarian Slow Cook Chickpeas with Brown Rice & Millet Hopper (RM17) that's worth making a return visit for.

Not your regular appom. The sweet and savoury appom with a twist of Malaysian flavor.

Chicken satay with egg appom. Mango with toasted black sesame and coconut milk.

We did hope the spicy peanut sauce was slightly heavy on flavor.

Serving three sisters' hopper creations inspired by mum's appam, this quaint establishment is quickly becoming a hotspot for thoughtful dates and lunch with girlfriends. Don't miss out on the bestselling Savoury Hopper with Slow Roasted Chicken Rendang (RM11). Meant to evoke the taste of nasi lemak, this rendition also stars crispy anchovies, sambal, groundnuts and cucumber atop the savoury hopper. Each hopper is delicately made with a fluffy centre that leads to thin, crisp edges, and an optional egg baked in the middle (no extra charge so go for it!). On the sweeter side of things, we fawned over the Milo Ganache Sweet Hopper with Horlicks Condensed Milk (RM11). Peanut crumbs are sprinkled on for a dash of saltiness amidst the rich cocoa of the childhood-favourite. As you feast, freshen your appetite with sips of their sharp Mint and Calamansi drink (RM11).

Veer off the beaten track and you’ll find a modern and simple cafe serving bowl-shaped crepes or ‘appam’ - a traditional South Indian and Sri Lankan breakfast staple topped with locally sourced ingredients that are worth hopping in the car for.
The recommended savoury hopper comes with a slow roasted chicken rendang, soft-middled yolk, sweet sambal, crispy anchovies, ground nuts and cucumber (RM13). As well as being delicious, this hopper is also an explosion of pretty. Over on the sweet side, the milo ganache with peanut crumbs topped with Horlicks condensed milk (RM11) ticks all of the right boxes for a stellar sweet treat for any time of the day. All this and the cold Mint and Calamansi (RM11) - a refreshing drink that packs a great punch sip after sip.
