House of AnLi Bistro

220 Wishlisted
House Of AnLi at Level 3 of Tanglin Mall is probably the most gorgeous bistro to open in Singapore of late. The bistro is an extension of the House of AnLi furniture store, and therefore the entire European design and homely setting carries on over. If you sit by the window, you would be treated with a view of greenery overlooking Tanglin Road. The person behind House of AnLi is Belgian designer Anne-Jean Liétaer (thus the name AnLi), who serves up home style European-Belgian food based on her family’s original recipes.

Looks good, will definitely try one day! The fruit scones were huge. The caneles were a little small and burnt looking. The tart looked very presentable!

It’s not Easter without some eggs 🐣 These New Zealand scrambled eggs on sourdough are usually my must-order breakfast favourite at @houseofanli. Sadly yesterday’s eggs on toast wasn’t very hot and I don’t think the chef prepared it properly. Could see lots of egg white and it tasted (different) more like soft boiled eggs which was disappointing because I don’t like soft boiled eggs. At least it looked pretty 🤷🏻‍♀️

My favourite dessert there among all we ordered. Cloud-like whip cream hiding the tropical fruits on crispy but light meringue, laid on passionfruit sauce. The texture is light but the flavours from the fruits are hearty, it's a good mix.

House of Anli has a scrumptious spread and delicious coffee. Dosen’t hurt that the natural lighting hits everything at the right places.

Pretty decor lives up to the communal furniture store that the bistro dwells in. The food is on the pricey side.

Each serving of scrambled eggs consists of 2 rich, golden New Zealand organic eggs. The colour is enough to tell you it's no ordinary egg. The eggs are creamy and delightful. I always sprinkle tons of black peppercorn to enhance the flavour. Don't forget to save some sourdough because eggs on toast is pure bliss.

Needless to say, House of AnLi is my favourite brunch place in Singapore. The food quality is really good. The amount of sunshine is fab. It's also the first place I've had Belgian food at as well! Do try everything on the menu.
