Aburi, asked them to torch slightly longer as my mum doesn’t eat raw food; this was also pretty good, texture was a little like fatty tuna? So far we really enjoyed the food here!

Really enjoyed this! presentation was 💯, tasted as good as it looked! Pork was beautifully caramelised, tender, firm creamy foie gras, came with runny egg served within its shell with sweet, briny uni on top.

Small portion of crunchy & fresh raw octopus; tossed with wasabi and popping fish roe; slightly salty but appetizing..

Most instagrammable don; super thick sashimi cubes that are fresh & firm; the tako texture unexpectedly crunchy & easy to chew; super generous with the raw goodies at the top that I can hardly find the rice to eat; came with edible flowers that add colors to the dish..

Sashimi slices are super thick, firm & fresh; prawn is crunchy & with natural sweetness; the aburi salmon belly is soft, with light smoky taste; unagi taste not too sweet or salty, quite good; with crispy salmon skin that is fried in-house so not salty, taste very natural; the rice is very fragrant & flavorful, well-cooked, not mushy; love the addition of fish roe that add crunch while chewing..

Gonna be brutally honest here –
This trip was a major disappointment, mainly because of the service (or lack thereof). Upon walking into the store, there was little attention given and we stood there waiting to be acknowledged. The store wasn’t super packed, but it was mostly the disorganisation and lack of attentiveness from the staff that stuck out.

In terms of food, there isn’t much to complain about but I do wish they had informed about the change in tamago in the dons; they are no longer serving tamago in the dons, instead they have replaced it with “more appealing edible decorations”. We had the Bara Chirashi ($18.80) and Chirashi Don ($23.80), and there’s quite a wild variety of other bowls on the menu. This definitely wins points for being aesthetic, and the combination of rice + loads of sashimi is super easy to devour🤤

While the food quality isn’t too bad, the overall service and vibes of the restaurant leaves much to be desired. Maybe I just went on a bad day, idk😕
