This hidden gem, a small restaurant with very few tables located in International Building, serves Shanghainese dishes.

We ordered their Egg Fried Rice with Prawns, Pot Stickers, Drunken Chicken and Red Bean Paste Pancake.

And in my humble opinion, every dish tastes better than what you can get from big restaurants like DTF. Almost as good as what I can get in Shanghai where I lived for almost 10 years.

Definitely coming back soon to try their noodles and other dishes. Really cheap and good. Try not to come during weekdays cause the place is really very small.

It's been a long time since we had some classic Chinese foods, and we're super happy to finally eat them again. Got our usual noodles🍜 and pan-fried dumplings🥟, which were all super comforting. A great find was the red bean paste pancake🤩. We absolutely loved their rendition, it was crispy on the outside and the red bean paste filling inside was soft, smooth and piping hot🔥. Great pancake to red bean ratio too and overall not too sweet, definitely a must-try👍! Being conveniently located in Orchard, Hua Yi is definitely a great option if you're craving for some Chinese food in the town area🏙️!

Absolutely fresh and authentic crisp pot stickers.

A hidden oasis and so very affordably priced - been visiting this homely eatery more than a decade ago .

I like how Crisp the pot stickers are and filled generously with chives and juicy meat .

Dunk in vinegar and savour ... ...

Loved the potstickers which were super crispy at the bottom. Love the Zha Jang Mian too it was rly yummy w the chewy noodles. The fried rice was just normal but pretty good, up to standard.

The noodles were super chewy and fresh, dumplings were really good too and the sauce it was coated in was super flavourful!!

💸: $10.80

💬: The well-marinated chop was slightly tough, but not dry, nothing a good set of teeth can't handle
Fried rice lacks wok hei but is very generously dusted with scrambled eggs and is very yummy, especially when paired with their housemade chilli oil
