I usually opt out of peanut sauces but this was really good! You don’t get the usual thick and heavy mouthfeel where the peanut flavour just overwhelms everything. This was a harmonious mixture of chili oil, 榨菜, peanuts, peanut sauce, etc. that was slightly spicy and so addictive. Noodles had a good bite and this was just so shiok to eat in the cool weather while walking along the streets!

Edit: Oh man, just went back again and we were disappointed that the noodles were dry and sticky, without sufficient chili oil in the mixture. Think it also depends on who’s the cook!

Was so excited to get this liang pi after seeing the guy chopping the noodles fresh! The noodles were much more springy and q than the ones I’ve had in Singapore - but both are good in their own way. The spices had a really shiok heat with a slight numbness. Not the best but works if you’re here!

First food we had in Guangzhou when we were starving after our delayed flight! Surprisingly fresh but not that plump, though you can’t really complain for the price for half a dozen. They’re super generous with the garlic that makes it more fragrant but not pungent.
