All the mooncakes are baked freshly, so they don’t come with plastic packaging. So be mindful of this when gifting it to people.

You can customise the flavours you want, and the gifting packaging will be provided at a cost.

Some of the mooncakes filling included pure lotus with yolk, pandan lotus, red bean and durian.

I came across this place only recently as I’m searching where to get traditional mooncake as gift.

Interestingly this place is actually located inside hawker centre at Geylang, and they have started the business for many years since 1978.

Upon arriving at the stall in the early morning, there’s already a few customer choosing their mooncake. And the staff also busy packing mooncake orders as well.

They sell traditional mooncakes here and one of their popular items would be their crispy Teaochew Orh Nee mooncake.

Easily sold out within the day and you would need to come early to grab the chance to buy it.

Choose from either with yolk or not, and you would love the crispy texture of the mooncake that filled with real yam.

Homemade mooncakes from @hunghuatcakesandpastries !

If you are still shopping around for mooncakes to get them for this year's Mooncake Festival, check out this stall at Sims Place (Sims VistaMarket and Food Centre!)

They have been established since 1978 and specialise in making homemade traditional pastries, CNY goodies and mooncakes !

Featured here are the following two baked skin mooncake series:
-Baked Skin Black Sesame Lotus ($9)
-Baked Skin Mixed Nuts ($10.50)

This was actually my first time trying mixed nuts and black sesame lotus flavours! The mixed nuts contains five different nut and seeds, packed to the brim with ingredients! Can get quite addictive!

Loved the smooth black sesame lotus paste fillings too!

They have many other baked skin and snowskin mooncakes available for sale too! Check out their full catalogue at https://hunghuatcakesandpastries1978.cococart.co/

@hunghuatcakesandpastries offer different types of mooncakes in a variety of flavours that are handmade with ingredients made in-house! We got to try the Crispy Yam Mooncakes with and without yolk along with their Snowskin mooncakes in black sesame, blue pea white lotus, red bean with orange skin and white lotus with yolk flavours. We enjoyed these a lot, especially with how they were not too sweet. My favourites were the Crispy Yam Mooncakes mainly because I love yam and the white lotus with yolk snowskin mooncake!

If you are one that likes variety like me, they have mini mooncakes too! We had snowskin mooncakes in yam, green tea, durian and black sesame flavours. My favourite was the black sesame because there nutty flavour grows as you eat it.

We also had the baked mooncakes in golden jade (pandan), mixed nuts, Shanghai walnut mooncake and Pineapple mooncake. I liked the pandan flavour most because it was the most fragrant, the mixed nuts was good as well with a generous portion of nuts, the walnut mooncake had a cookie like texture so that was quite unique and the pineapple mooncake was buttery with pineapple paste in it too 😋

Read from here for those lazy to read the chunks above:
My favourite mooncakes are crispy yam, black sesame snowskin and pandan baked mooncake 🤗

These mooncakes currently go at early bird promotional prices valid for orders and payment made before 24 Aug. Check out their account and DM them on Fb or IG to order!

Thank you @hunghuatcakesandpastries for sending these over! ☺️

If you haven't gotten your CNY goodies, @hunghuatcakesandpastries is still selling them at their shop! They also have these addictive crackers and chips that are air fried so you don't feel as guilty with all that feasting. We had the arrowhead chips, yam chips and lotus root chips. The arrowhead chips had a slight sweetness to it, the yam chips were super crisp and fragrant and the lotus root chips were tasty too! We enjoyed them a lot and had a hard time stopping 😆 They have other crisps and flakes such as seaweed and crabstick as well 🤤

Thank you @hunghuatcakesandpastries again for all the yummy chips!! 😋

The CNY snacking continues with all the goodies we bought from @hunghuatcakesandpastries! Apart from what we tried previously, we also got butter cheese cookies, seaweed crackers, gula melaka kueh bangkit, charcoal baked kueh bahulu, cashew nut cookies, hae bee hiam, black sesame brittle and kueh lapis! I especially liked the gula melaka kueh bangkit because it's very unique. The seaweed crackers and butter cheese cookies were super addictive too! 😋
