Ordered the waffles with matcha 1 gelato,Goma cake slice, iced Yuki matcha latte and iced blended hojicha for 2 pax.
The only thing impressive is the iced blended hojicha. Goma slice is quite fragrant, waffle is not to our liking and we are feeling quite jelak towards the end of the meal.

The seating is not the most comfortable and with only an hr of dining,we are left with 45 minutes to finish everything. Given the q on a sat afternoon,it is understandable why they need to enforce the 1hr seating. Maybe I will buy the drinks again but takeaway.

However,I will not go specially again as I feel that the overall food and vibes will not be worth the high price point.

Ice cream ($5.80-$8.80) ⭐️ 3-4/5 ⭐️
Matcha houjicha latte ($6.80) ⭐️ 4.5/5 ⭐️
🍴Overall, we found their ice creams pretty “gao” in flavour, creamy in texture, but on the sweeter side. Our favourites - in order - were first the matcha no. 3 that had an earthy intensity, although we have eaten matcha ice cream at similar intensity for less pricey. Second the goma with a distinct nuttiness, and third the hojicha. The genmaicha was on the sweeter end and while it had a subtle roasted pop brown rice aroma, would have appreciated a deeper tea flavour. The matcha cookies and cream was quite a let down - mostly sweet with no real distinct aromas. Would probably recommend getting their rich and flavourful drinks over the ice cream! My longstanding favourite being the iced matcha houjicha latte for best of both worlds 😋.

Matcha Gâteau — This cake unfortunately did not sit well with me as I was not a fan of the base that tasted like kueh (I personally don’t q like kueh). The top layer of chiffon, though light and fluffy, barely had any flavour. Overall, I couldn’t really taste any matcha. The only saving grace was the white custard on top which was sweet and delicious :’)

Warabi Mochi with Matcha Gelato — I really love the mochi because they were v soft, chewy, and nicely coated with kinako powder. Matcha gelato was level 1 so it was a nice balance between sweetness and bitterness from the matcha :)

Kinako Paste with Gelato — The flavor profile of the kinako paste was q strong. It wasn’t sweet, so the Hokkaido milk gelato really helped add sweetness to the overall dish.

Overall, I still prefer their sliced cakes & tea lattes🍰🍵😋

The other reviewers are right. The chrispy texture of the waffles compliments the milkyness of the hokkaido milk. The ice cream isn't really the best hokkaido milk I have tasted but it's quite light and refreshing with a light touch of creaminess. In a nutshell, it is creamy yet light. Somehow this combo really reminds me of those vegan waffles. It's easier on the stomach compared to the richer desserts.

The hojicha latte is smooth and comforting. I would definitely order it on a cold day. Just like the green tea latte, since it is rich, it's definitely not a thirst quencher. Abit like a rich warm soother. The good thing about the Warabi Mochi is the generous use of the green tea powder. This place does not stinge on the quality and amount where green tea is concern. However the texture of the mochi could be improved. It's a little too dense. Now if only, they can have the ethereal softness of some warabis that I have tasted. It would be perfect.

The Matcha Hojicha latte (ice) is smooth and thick. I totally recommend it to try. The taste of the green tea is good and evident. I can't really taste the hojicha but the entire combo when stirred is just quite yummy. Maybe those who have tasted the ice Matcha latte alone would be able to tell the difference when the shot of hojicha has been added as for me this is a good combo. The goma Cake has split us into 2 group. Personally it's pretty thick and good enough for me. My friend finds it ordinary. I guess you will have to taste it to decide.
