Ice Queen has finally reopened after being closed at Katong for a while, and had now moved to Basement 1 of One Raffles Place. Coco Loco is a coconut nitro ice-cream which was pretty refreshing and comes with a choice of three toppings which I had Red Ruby, Aloe Vera and Atap Seeds. They also carry the three favourite flavours; Chendol, Mango Sticky Rice and Death by Chocolate, and also now serve waffles and even Eggs Ben for breakfast as well as local Teh and Kopi.

Next time I can have it more conveniently when their new outlet opens!! Waiting so eagerly... πŸ˜„

Finally a gem was found at Katong, loved this chendol creation that has pandan jelly, atap seeds, red bean and a gula melaka based ice cream! Chendol reinvented with molecular gastronomy indeed. Enjoy your extended weekend everyone!

The sorbet is composed of fresh young coconut meat, coconut water and some flavouring. It then undergoes the all-important blast of liquid nitrogen to get it to freeze. As lovely as the icy coconut sorbet tastes, I like it even more topped with sweet, crunchy red rubies, chewy coconut mochi and toasted coconut flakes. What a refreshing treat this is.

Can’t stop craving for these locally inspired desserts by #IceQueenSG since our East-side cafe hopping adventure.
