There are few things as sinfully delicious as torched mentaiko sauce and fresh seafood over fluffy pearl rice. The mentaiko sauce was flavourful, and the portion of aburi salmon/scallop/eel/tuna was adequate to accompany the rice, such that I didn't have to ration my ingredients.

Price: $15.90

I might not be the best gauge cause I’m not a huge fan of udon but somehow there’s a soft spot for the dried ones.
For $13++, portion and taste was considerably reasonable in my opinion. Wouldn’t mind going for this or something similar again.

This ($4.90) was quite uncommon to see and the flavours complemented each other well. It wasn’t that great but it was still pretty good.

This fatty tuna with spicy cod innards was from the Father's Day special. Free can of Asahi beer for every set ordered! 🍻

Their regular menu is EXTENSIVE, no kidding. Some of the popular meal combos have a waiting time of 20-30mins. Prices are generally under $30 per combo. Even lesser if you're ordering single dishes which is quite affordable.

Best to reserve in advance or risk standing outside while waiting for your queue number to be called.

The amount of oil and chilli used per bowl is probably by way of dice throw in the Ichiban Boshi kitchens, so make a request for separate extra servings of both each time. With the right combination of Chinese lubrication and fiery red pellets, this salmon rice bowl makes for guaranteed happy food. Many of my friends can testify to this. 4.5/5
