We came here because Beauty in a Pot requires a 1.5h queue.

But!!!! Such a pleasant surprise! Soup broth was tasty, ingredients was fresh and good, service was top-notch as well 🙂 We loved the chives dumplings! Bill came up to $180 for 4 of us...

Would go back again!!!!!!!!

Yu Sheng done just right, hidden treasures are the crispy yam pieces. Smoke salmon instead of fresh salmon is served here.

I would not choose this place for the MALA but the drunken chicken soup is ok. You will like this if you think beauty in the pot soup is too thick and you DO NOT like mala (if you live for MALA like me, don’t even bother with the mala here and stick to Hai Di Lao)

We are big fans of the ImpTreas group, and like ALL their different brands, no month goes by without us visiting one of their outlets. I must say I am not a big amateur of steamboats especially in the hot Singapore weather, so this was our first visit since the restaurant opened. You can recognise the Imperial Treasure signature: understated and elegant décor, courteous and professional service. The food? It is high-end alright - lots of soup choices, high-quality ingredients, nice sauces - but it’s over-the-top for a steamboat restaurant, which at the end of the day is still a family or close-friend affair. It’s too pricey, a bit stiff, and after the meal you can still feel the MSG. At least, Haidilao is more fun. So, we’ll stick to ImpTreas Teochew, Peking Duck and Shanghai, or the simple Noodles & Congee.

Been forever since I had duck tongue and these ones, suffused with the braising flavour and still snappy, do the trick.

Imma focus on the liusha bao here real quick and TBH it is a decent take on this crowd favourite but personally, I'm more about the chewy doughy paus then the soft fluffy kind that's offered here. The sauce was also a little bit sweeter than I would have preferred. Overall, pretty decent dimsum.
