When I said I was buying dinner, my dear colleague immediately said "Let's go have ramen @ippudosg because I love ramen plus it is more expensive". Here's what we ordered;

Karaka Tamago
Pork Bun
Spicy Chicken Wings
Green Salad

The ramen was served with thin curly noodles, minced meat miso paste, tamago and spring onions. You can customize your spice level from mild to very hot! My personal favorite beside ramen is their signature melt-in-the-mouth Chashu sandwiched in a soft bun. We could not decide which chicken as sides so we ordered both Karaage and Spicy Chicken Wings. Both were equally tasty which we split our share evenly. LOL! I did get a 🙄 look when I ordered my Green Salad.

Total damage to my wallet was S$56.50.

Fish and pork broth with two pieces of chashu, an egg, bamboo shoots, beansprouts, and a few other toppings. The soup was thick and flavourful. I loved the onsen egg – I've no idea what they put in the egg white but it was really delicious.

Was craving for a hearty bowl of ramen and decided to come here after school. Ordered the Kura ramen($18). The place was only had very few customers. The servers were attentive and friendly and the wait time was reasonable. There is a variety of ramen to choose from from the menu. Ramen broth was a bit on the bland side. Noodles were perfectly cooked with a springu texture. Char siew was soft and tender. Black fungus gave it that extra crunch. Would come back again to try other types of ramen

Wah never expected the sushi in a ramen place will be this good! Honestly, I like the sushi better than the ramen. The rice was wrapped with 2 roasted salmon, topped with warm mentai sauce... yummm, the melting sensation is unforgetable. The dish is served very fast (within 10 minutes), making it a perfect appetizer.

Singapore is well and truly spoilt for choice when it comes to ramen. From a dirty quickie at an Ajisen outlet to Ippudo, which is straight outta Fukuoka, there’s no shortage of places to satiate that craving for a scorching hot bowl of noodles soaking in broth.

The spicy Karaka-men ($22++ for extra char siew) has four spice levels to test your mettle, and this bowl is a level three ‘very hot’ spice level. Yes, it’s even more violent than it looks. However, the spice never overpowered the rich, piquant pork broth. The spicy paste added lots of flavor into the sapid soup, and the ramen (which I ordered at medium hardness) was supple, springy and cooked to perfection.

Instead of the normal two slices of pork belly char siew, the extra char siew option sees another three slices go for a luxurious bath in the broth. The char siew itself is cooked acceptably and is sufficiently tender, but it’s a bit bland. That’s where the smashingly savory and spicy soup comes in. What you wanna do is get a spoonful of soup, a bit of ramen, and a strip of char siew before dumping it down your hatch.

Ippudo is certainly one of the better ramen places in Singapore. That’s quite something considering the insane levels of competition in Singapore due to the glut of ramen restaurants round town.
