Definitely the best meal we ever ate this year.

Omakase is the Japanese tradition of letting a chef choose your order. The word means "I will leave it to you." It's a fine tradition that gives the chef freedom.

9 course dinner at $120++ per pax and it includes an appetiser, chawanmushi, sashimi, a grilled dish, a steamed dish, a tempura dish, chirasi, miso soup and sea salt ice-cream.

Lychee Sake (Complimentary)
Salmon Skin (Complimentary)
Chawanmushi with Ankimo (Omakase #2)
Blue Sea Salt Ice Cream (Omakase #8)

But it also doesn’t always turn out the way you want it to be.
With the location, we did go with certain level of expectation which ended with disappointment.

Delicious, moist, tender, and crazy delicious cod fish marinated with sweet Japanese miso paste. Ishinomaki remains as my favourite Japanese restaurant in Singapore, never failing to satisfy when I’m in need of Japanese comfort food 💕. 😋😋😋

Hidden in the basement of Palais Renaissance, this is my favourite Japanese restaurant in Singapore whenever anyone asks. I’m addicted to this and their Iberico Pork Collar with Yuzu Miso. 😋😋😋

Starting 2016 right with a nourishing Japanese meal.
Hits: The California roll uses real crab meat and is coated with seared salmon instead of usual ebiko. Don't worry for you still get your usual dose of roe (as with every California roll) but the one they use here is that of flying fish instead of shrimp (the usual ebiko) , the former is something my family & I prefer over the latter.
