Grilled chicken which came with 2 sides of your choice. Chose parmesan cheese asparagus and baked potato.
Love the parmesan cheese asparagus, it wasn’t too hard nor too soft and the cheese made it even more flavourful. Chicken was really juicy, thick and tender. This was a really good meal for the price. 7.0/10

A steak is a steak is a steak. Nothing compares to the universal litmus test of a fantastic grill like a perfectly cooked steak. Juicy on the inside, beautifully pink in the center with an irresistible char from that which we know as the Maillard reaction. Of course, when we choose to step out of our homes rather than grabbing a 250g slab of ribeye at the butcher, we end up spending more than we want to, and rightfully more than we should.

As with all things Singaporean, cheap is always good. At iSteaks (not another overpriced one-dimensional Apple product), one can expect to find a small and simple selection of steak cuts done right, paired nicely with a decent price tag. On the topic of pairings, iSteaks boasts a number of fine compliments to go along with your carnivorous desires. From steakhouse classics such as Country Baked Beans and Onion Rings to humble creations such as their Cinnamon Pumpkin.

After eating at iSteaks ever since they were reeling in elongated 6pm queues every night in the heart of Holland Village, my all-time favourite order is a plate well decorated with a beautifully grilled NZ Striploin ($18/200g, $21/250g), alongside a warm buttery Baked Potato and a delectable serving of Macaroni & Cheese. Of course, one can opt for Steak House cuts of 350g and 450g, if you’re feeling a little beefy whenever.

When we’re talking groups of four or more, look no further than their AU Wagyu D-Rump ($115/1.2kg), a luscious Australian Wagyu top sirloin steak with a marbling score of 4/5 (ms4/5) that can be easily shares amongst 4 hungry carnivores.

My first time dining at iSteaks Diner & I really wonder why I hadn't been here sooner! They have a variety of options on the Grill Specialties menu: Chicken, pork, lamb, fish, & of course, steak. I opted for the 350g Steak House Cut, which is also available in a 450g portion.

I chose the NZ Ribeye cut ($30 nett), done medium rare. Man, this was juicy & good! I could cut away the fats easily (didn't have too much yay), & the doneness was perfect. It also wasn't overseasoned, & I cheerfully alternated my bites between the steak on its own, & dipped into the mushroom sauce served on the side.

All Grill Specialties come with complementary 2 sides of your choice (which would otherwise cost $2.50 each on their own). There are over 15 sides to choose from; I dare say say there's something for everyone here. I chose the Sautéed Brussel (i.e. Brussel Sprouts) & Parmesan Asparagus - the latter was served later, for some reason, so it isn't pictured here.

Both are good veggie options that complement the steak well. You have more sinful options like creamed spinach, onion rings, french fries, mac & cheese (is disappointing - the nacho cheese used doesn't even taste nice)... But having just completed an intense workout, I wanted to be healthy-ish.

Would definitely return here for sure. I finally understand why this place is so popular 😁

This outlet is relatively new and I gave it a try yesterday. A massive slab of chicken thigh meat with two sides costs $10.50 nett. The chicken was amazing. Thick and juicy, it was very filling. The choices of sides they have is very wide as well and I would love to try it all some day. Some interesting sides they have includes the parmesan asparagus, the cinnamon pumpkin, and the garlic butter eggplant. I chose to have the parmesan asparagus and coleslaw for my sides. The asparagus was a tad overcooked, resulting in it not having a crunch. It was also topped with slightly burnt cheese which was not really to my liking. The coleslaw was pretty good but not for those who dislikes celery as the after taste of the celery used in this coleslaw was rather strong. Long queue, relatively affordable and pretty delicious food. What else is there to say? A good way to end off a Friday!

Tender chicken with interesting sides - cinnamon pumpkin and garlic butter eggplant.
Loved the chicken and cinnamon pumpkin. However the garlic butter gets a little jelak after. 6.0/10

It’s my first visit to iSTEAKS Diner and I got myself a NZ Ribeye steak ($20 for 200g) along with 2 sides of my choice - cinnamon pumpkin and garlic butter eggplant. The medium steak is tender, juicy and nicely charred. The black pepper sauce (mushroom sauce available too) is savoury and does not overpower the flavours of the meat👍🏻 The eggplant is very soft and delicious as well! For a wallet-friendly chain, the quality of the steak has exceeded my expectations and I must say that I’m pretty impressed:)
