150g of savoury, juicy snail pork sausage accompanied by a hearty serving of thick, shredded potato rosti, topped with a sunny side up egg, a dollop of chilled sour cream, and a generous scoop of creamy mushroom sauce.

The rosti boasts a contrast of textures, with a slightly charred crispness on the outside and a soft, mushy interior. However, the seasoning seemed to play favourites, with some parts being a touch too salty while others leaned towards blandness.

The cold sour cream, while not overly flavourful, does a decent job of cutting through the richness of the rosti, adding a refreshing touch. On the other hand, the creamy mushroom sauce won my heart with its wholesome flavour, complementing the dish beautifully.

Though the sunny side up egg sports a beautiful yolk glow, it falls short of the desired runniness. Nevertheless, the smoky pork sausage comes to the rescue, infusing the bites with a burst of flavour, especially where the rosti may lack.

Rosti was a bit too burnt for my liking. Wouldnt mind eating this if im at Woodlands but wouldnt specially travel for this

Having their rosti with dory fish and chips! Big portion and taste very good for just $12.80! The Rosti is crispy, soft and not so oily pair with their mushroom sauce! Their dory fish is super crispy and big ! can feed 2 pax πŸ˜‹πŸ€©πŸ‘ Recommend to get their western food with their rosti πŸ‘πŸ‘.

Do visit Ivan's Carbina if you happen to be stopping by Woodlands, because this is one of the few western food stalls in a coffee shop which sells rosti, and does so at really low prices. For a black pepper chicken chop with a rosti, the dish is priced at $8.50, which is fairly reasonable. This is even more so given that a really generous amount of potato is used for the rosti, and we were really full after the meal.

While we liked the slightly burnt taste of the exterior of the rosti, we felt that potato strips used for the rosti were a little thick, which felt a little strange after a while. Aside from that, the potato could use a little more salt, although that gives you a lot more room to use the sour cream at the sides!

The coffee shop is fairly crowded during mealtimes and it is rather small too, hence you might want to avoid peak mealtimes if you are planning to dine here.

I tried their Garlic sausage rosti and chicken cutlet rosti.
The garlic sausage comes with sunny side egg, meanwhile the chicken cutlet is huge, crispy and not dry.
The Rosti was soft inside while outside some part crisp, some part no crisp, served with sour cream and mushroom sauce.
πŸ’°$8.5 for garlic sausage.
πŸ’°$10.8 for chicken cutlet
