Occasionally I'd have curry rice for breakfast and I'll be slightly disappointed when I missed their last serving. The most usual comment that I get from my friends is "isn't it too heavy for breakfast?" No, of course not. A quick glance at the long queue paints a different picture, made up of mainly middle- aged hungry customers, this stall brings up a nostalgia memory of our grandparents cuisines. Mild Hainanese chicken curry accompanied by stewed cabbage finished off with various gravies doused on the rice, tasty and yet so comforting. Sounds just about right.
