Finally made my way to this much hyped Bak Chor Mee place which is mediocre at Best. Certainly not worth the 45 mins waiting time.

Pretty damn good.

The bcm sauce had a good umami from the Bak chor Broth, and the pork was cooked well too. Fishballs were springy and soup was pretty decent. Sambal was sandy and fine, with a kick and very well seasoned. Quite a unique taste so worth a try. Overall pretty shiok but the sambal could work better w the whole dish

It’s comforting and reminds me that I’m home. Their QQ fish balls and flavourful minced meat balls are so my favourites. 😋

Stumbled here with my girlfriend’s family although I have seen this place on Instagram so many times. Don’t know if we caught them on an off day or what because I haven’t seen anyone mention that the noodles here are super spicy. The girlfriend’s brother had to wash the noodles in the soup which promptly turned bright orange after his endeavours.

Apart from being really spicy, the noodles are quite springy, as are the fishballs but the wait is a tad too long. Would wanna come back again, just to see if we caught them on an off day or if we are gonna eat chilli noodles all the time instead of BCM. Let me know your thoughts about this place ◡̈

While it undeniably is a nice, enjoyable bowl of mee pok, the price point just doesn't justify it for me, and I just find it a tad oily.

Have you tried this? What's your take on it and what's the best bowl of mee pok or ba chor mee you've had in Singapore? What exactly is the meaning of life? Feel free to share in the comments below. 😜

Traditional breakfast: toasted bread with kaya & butter, two soft boiled eggs and cup of coffee.
