Kampung Carabao is one of the Thai restaurants that has been serving authentic Thai foods in JB for many years.

I visited their new outlet at Puteri Harbour, with the alfresco area just beside the waterfront,

Their tomyum fried rice comes with seafood items such as the prawn and squid. Not too spicy but tasty.

This was a very interesting dessert place found in Kluang, specialise for using the real coconut for some of their dessert items.

The milk pudding put inside the coconut shell, topped with a scoop of ice cream, durian and boba.

After finishing the pudding, you still can enjoy the coconut meat.

[JB, MALAYSIA] Back at my favourite Malaysian eatery Tong Guan, that sells a good range of Malaysian kopitiam dishes that were of good quality! Honestly, I do think that this place is a good introduction to Malaysian food, considering the variety they serve and the good quality they have managed to sustain. Here are some dishes we ordered:

Fried Yam Kuih - now this is the winner for me. The exterior of the yam kueh pieces were so crispy while the inside remained so fluffy. Each crunch is so satisfying and tasted even better when you dip onto their sambal chilli! Very addictive and probably the best yam kueh I've had.

Durian Chendol - absolutely love their Chendol, as it isn't too sweet and yet the Gula Melaka was aromatic! The beans were soft and creamy and the ice had the right consistency. The durian flesh was aromatic and was so rich!

Signature Kopi - although it can get quite sweet, the aromatic Nanyang bean flavour was just so inviting. There was no dryness in the aftertaste (or the siap siap feeling)! Just a good smooth coffee 😍

Definitely will be back to try more dishes!

(RM 11.90) Finally tried their matcha red bean crossiant as I tried their kaya crossiant previously. The matcha taste quite weird tbh but sauce texture was quite thick, milky and creamy. But the red bean filling is not much and just a mini scoop of it only :") The croissant texture was quite flaky, crispy and crunchy after reheating 5 mins around 150 degree celsius.

Very generous portion.

Glad to report is as good as the mount Austin branch. And the queue is nonexistent on a monday evening. That's lovely because then there's no need to go all the way to mount Austin for this
