JB San Lou Meehoon (L) - $14
·
A dish with lots of wok hei. Tasty bee hoon fried till crisp on the outside, still retaining the Q-ness on the inside. The bee hoon is also accompanied slices of meat and egg for the extra fragrant. A must try at the shop

Deep fried fermented bean paste pork belly - crispy on the outside; firm yet tender on the inside.. This dish was SO SO SO DELICIOUS, my family went back for a second round the next weekend! Taste: 10/10 🌟
Price: 7/10 (Compared to other zichar establishments, food at JB Ah Meng is slightly more expensive but IMO well worth the heftier price tag.. We paid $24 for the large portion, but prices start from $12 for this dish)
This is quite good. But not the best I tasted.
Abit soggy. But tasted good
No wonder this is a signature dish! Unlike the usual chilli crab or black pepper crab, this was full of Unami yet not too spicy. Must try!
Why cross the border when you can go to this bustling seafood restaurant in Geylang for some dang good JB-style zi char? Bring your mates and feast on their famous charred JB San Lou Meehoon (from $7) — think super addictive wok hei and sambal-infused crispy fried beehoon. Be sure to order the White Pepper Crab ($64), as well as their Garlic and Chilli La La (from $16) that sees wonderfully plump clams coated in a spicy sauce. Wash it all down with some beer for ultimate satisfaction!

You should get the smaller crabs which are usually sweeter, and the ones I got were surprisingly meaty too. I still much prefer that place with no signboard (hands down) but this is decent enough. ($56 for 2)
