I wanted to try this despite the bad reviews. Guess what, it was still packed. Like what some diners had experienced, I asked about some promotion and was told it's not allowed, for no reason. The la mian was decent, but nothing else in the bowl passed. Some of the beef was tough and dry while the soup wasn't memorable. PRCs surrounded our table - how do they tahan the food here?

I wanted to try this despite the bad reviews. Guess what, it was still packed. Like what some diners had experienced, I asked about some promotion and was told it's not allowed, for no reason. This is the signature food and turned out to be one of the better stuff. Mushroom-pork was the best as the mushroom was fragrant. Mackerel was the worst because it's just cheap fish paste. There were also cabbage-pork and chive-pork. The skins were apparently flavoured but tasted the same lah. PRCs surrounded our table - how do they tahan the food here?

Should have changed a place to eat when I have noticed that only one table out of 15 tables were occupied 🙃

The service was bad too, our table was attended by an old lady who did not wear a name tag. She started saying that we needed two separate handphones to redeem two Burpple coupon, which was ridiculous because I have never encountered such demand before. The exclusion stated in the coupon was different from what was said by the server. Even when the dumplings was not included in the exclusion, the server stated it was excluded. When I tried to reason out with her, her excuse was that the boss of the restaurant has the final say, which was quite scheming. 🙃

Food was bad too, they microwaved the food even when they have a open window kitchen concept. My friend said a bowl of Maggie is more delicious than this. A bowl of noodle is around $9, sooooooo not worth. 😒

Please do not go to this restaurant to eat and let them earn our money 🙂

Came here expecting good food bc of the reviews + google 4 star rating. But suuuuuper disappointing. First off wanted to redeem 2 Burpple deals - we had 5 diners and according to Burpple’s policy, we can redeem 2. But the server told us cannot, if we want to redeem 2 we have to split bill. Ok no issue there if that’s the case, then suddenly she tells us that second redemption has to be a different phone. I asked why because I’ve never heard of this before in all my years of using BB - was told this is their restaurant policy. Too lazy to argue so said ok, downloaded Burpple on another person’s phone and logged into my account to redeem. So ridiculous?! Literally redeeming two deals from the same account but must show different phone lol.

After super messy ordering experience with the server, waited a good while for our food. Looking around, first thing we notice is we can see into their kitchen since it’s all glass. Quite cool right except they don’t cook anything?! Literally saw the staff take out a plastic bag of soup and pour into the bowl which was served to us. Everything was instant - open, heat up in hot water and pour into the bowl to serve. Immediately when we saw that...rip. But the best part is when they put food into the microwave also. Really don’t understand why they have a open concept kitchen because none of the staff were cooking, maybe they wanna show ppl how they make dumplings?? But the more we looked, the more disappointed we got LOL food came and looked nothing like the menu as well.

Last but not least the place was MESSY. Like it doesn’t look like a restaurant, the kitchen area (we were seated nearby), was CLUTTERED with so many personal belongings. It looks like the staff is living there as well. Half way thru, staff also come out and have their meal at the table beside us. I mean no qualms there but it rly felt like I was eating 7-11 instant food in someone’s living room. Oh and btw the burpple lunch deal with drink, cannot order any teas at all. The only drinks they have to offer are all bottled drinks like ice lemon tea, mineral water and some honey pomelo ones. Jialat la rly never coming back here again, was a waste of money. Burpple deal exclusions also not accurate, staff told us it was not applicable to many more items as well. Pls visit at your own risk :-)

Noodles were chewy and large in portion. There were lots of mushroom and chicken given too, though sauce was not as flavourful as the zhajiangmian’s. Potato appetizer was unique and not bad whole soup was average. Would probably come back to try others but not this set again.
