Chanced upon Jia Li Seafood Soup with my friend and order both their Batang Fish as well as their Red Grouper with crayfish seafood soup. The meat given was extremely fresh and the portion was generous. Would recommend the red grouper with crayfish if your budget allows!!

tried their batang seafood soup (~$9) and their red grouper crayfish soup with prawns (~$23) for lunch.

both dishes were really delicious, packed with generous portions of fresh seafood (not to mention thick cuts of fish and their big prawns) and big chunks of minced meat (which had a pleasant chew thanks to some fat & chopped up mushrooms)! the star of the show though was definitely the soup, which was sweet, light, and refreshing. could definitely hold its own as a dish by itself, although it definitely complemented all the ingredients very well. :) preferred the red grouper crayfish soup more as it was slightly sweeter from the additional crayfish, but both were really good!

would definitely recommend, and i’ll be coming back next time for any seafood soup cravings.

the portions were so generous! the broth was so flavourful- not too bland but still light enough to be able to taste the natural seafood flavour. such an amazing meal for it's value. 10/10 recommend

Tried Jia Li Seafood Soup - Westgate. The store is located at WestGate Basement One inside Food Republic.

Had cravings for fish soup and we tried multiple dishes such as the batang soup , dory fish soup, braised duck and crayfish + red grouper + prawn soup
Food was amazing and the portion was extremely generous. The fish were very tender and my cravings were satisfied. My personal favourite is the batang as it is the best value for money. The red grouper was extremely tender and fresh but more expensive compared to the batang and dory. Will definitely be back to try the Yong Tau Foo.

I have ordered Dory Seafood Soup. The most satisfying fish soup with natural seafood sweetness which comprises of a handful of fresh prawns & fish slices and minced pork.
I have also ordered the Ginger Braised Duck, the flavor of the braised makes it perfect to go with the rice!

Highly recommend the Batang Seafood soup and red grouper crayfish soup with prawns. HUGE minced meat and MANY ingredients in a bowl!
