Got a batch of coconut tarts the last time so it’s egg tarts this time round !

Not too sweet , moist and always a favourite with the young and old alike :)

I loves these soft , pillowy , squishy squashy donuts.

Made fresh daily using old school traditional bread making methods .

So good !

For those of you whom are like me - craving something Sweet for your morning brunch .

Fret not - old airport road has so many Ang mo brunch choices - leave your hubby’s to go buy their fried noodles while you can get your delectable coconut and egg tarts from Jia mei bakery coupled with a cup of hot tea .

These tarts were really lovely . Crisp and buttery crust and filled with not so sweet coconut fillings - oh so good .

Their egg tats and donuts are very popular too 🥰

Can’t get more ole school than this.

Light and crisp crust , wobbly and not too sweet egg custard .

You can’t stop at one .

Or maybe you can - it’s huge :)

While it's not Tai Cheong, the egg tarts from Jia Mei Mian Bao (#01-43) have a crumbly crust with just the right thickness. I also like how generously filled each cup is with not-too-sweet custard.

They specialized in baking basic bakery like egg tarts and buns.
I would recommend to try their egg tart as it was value for money. Good cookie dough crust and smooth egg filling. Best to buy a dozen back for office tea break.
