Star rating : ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ was in the mood for a good juicy burger and had to try the new offering @jonesthegrocersingapore @111somersetsg . A beautiful little restaurant tucked behind the busy streets of orchard in the newly refurbished 111 somerset mall. This Jones does not offer the full blown menu like it's counter part in dempsey, however has a selection on delicious breakfast, proper burgers (no cutting corners here) and a list of mains. I tried

The Swiss mushroom burger with a wagyu patty, field mushrooms, swiss cheese, butterhead in a homemade brioche bun. I asked for medium rare and it was cooked perfectly. The size of the burger is huge and so juicy. Loved this. The last time I tried a burger so good was at Opal at Gordon Ramsey (Doha) in a private dinner by the executive chef.

Roast Chicken in lemon beurre noisette, served with warm red and white quinoa salad. This dish is something you would get in a fine dining restaurant. It's cooked to perfection, so tender and a taste sensation. My friend said that is was like a dish at summerhill. I need to try that to.
Rockafella dark ale that’s been aged in bourbon barrels. This beer is ridiculously good. A have to try. I believe it is a limited edition to rush over. Made by the Aussie small batch maestros @stockadebrewco

Huge tasty mezze that’s perfect for sharing! You get a great variety here - roast pumpkin and dukkah, feta salad, falafel, bulgar tabbouleh, olives, hummus, red pepper dip and tzatziki, with a side of Greek pita.

If you like rich chocolate cakes, this one is for you. There’s also added zesty touches of orange as well!

I personally love my lemon meringue tarts more sour, a more contrasting tartness from the lemon to the sweetness of the meringue would be great.

Tried the Stawberry Mint, Strawberry Hibiscus and Raspberry Passionfruit. They’re refreshing but generally sweeter than I’d like.

We were served a number of desserts at the Eatup, and it’s fair to say this was everyone’s favourite dessert of the night.

The moment i tasted it, i was totally wowed! The banana bread was warm, soft and fragrant. The espresso butter added an extra touch of sweet and savoury to it. Highly recommended!

Thanks Burpple for inviting and Jones the Grocer for hosting us.
